How long is the Mantaray tour at Willow Beach, AZ?

We will paddle to Emerald Cave, take breaks, swim & hangout for about 3 hours — all at your preferred pace.  Making it to the cave is dependent on the ability of the group and weather.

Where do I check in for my Mantaray tour?

When you come down the hill after entering the park you will see the staging area on the left for all tours & rentals, this is Kayak Beach. Park as close to Kayak Beach as possible. Look for our guide staff and company vehicles on the shoreline at Kayak Beach — and let the adventure begin! (note: we are not the marina)

Can beginners go on a Mantaray tour?

Yes…Mantaray tours are for anyone and everyone!  But we recommend that at least 2 people on each Mantaray are active paddlers to be able to make it to the cave.

Is there a fee to enter Lake Mead National Recreation Area?

Yes. The National Park Service charges an entry fee into the park for each vehicle, and needs to be paid with a credit card.

What should I bring for my Mantaray tour?

Water, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, water shoes or sandals, and a towel. A dry bag or waterproof phone pouch is helpful if you’re bringing valuables.

Will we paddle to Emerald Cave from the launch point?

Yes! We will do our best to make it to Emerald Cave which is a 4-mile roundtrip paddle.  Your guide will communicate with you along the journey and make the best decisions for your group.

Can I bring snacks or drinks on the Mantaray?

Absolutely. You can take water, snacks, and other small items. Please no glass and pack out your trash.

What if the weather is bad?

We monitor weather daily. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll contact you to reschedule. Be prepared for sun, heat, and wind typical of desert conditions.

Can kids go on the Mantaray?

Yes! Kids absolutely love the Mantaray and it is a great way to spend time with them out on the water in a fun and safe environment.

Is there cell service at Willow Beach, AZ?

No. Download directions in advance and be sure you understand where to meet our guide staff.
