Our kids group paddle board lessons are an incredible value because they are taught by professionals, packed full of 3 hours of fun and provide an incredible opportunity for children to develop life skills and confidence on the water in an adventurous and supportive environment. Learning How To Paddle Board at Lake Mead
To kick things off, our lessons start with a warmup and comprehensive introduction to gear and safety. We gather around the boards while our seasoned instructors patiently explain each piece of equipment, ensuring everyone understands its purpose and proper usage. Through engaging demonstrations and interactive discussions every paddler will gain a solid grasp of essential safety protocols, fostering a sense of confidence and preparedness. Upon learning the basics of paddling and getting on and off the board the stage is set for a day of exploration and adventure on iconic Lake Mead.
We will focus on mastering basic paddling techniques, such as paddling in a straight line and learning how to properly steer a paddle board and navigate the water’s safely. This foundational training ensures they will gain confidence and essential skills on the water. Paddlers will then embark on an exciting adventure and explore the shoreline of Lake Mead where they will discover pristine crystal clear emerald swimming holes, a magical and exciting experience for young adventurous explorers.
Our Convenient Location at Lake Mead
Our kids paddle board lessons are incredibly easy and convenient, starting and ending at our beautiful beachfront location at Personal Watercraft Beach on Lake Mead. This prime location allows them to hop on their paddle board and begin the lesson immediately, hassle-free. When the lesson concludes, we simply return to the same spot on the beach, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience. Enjoy the convenience of our beachfront service while making the most of our time exploring the stunning waters of Lake Mead.
The Grand Finale!
Finally, the grand finale of the day is our immensely popular giant multi-person Mantaray paddle board experience! Groups of 4 paddlers per board will team up for a friendly, fun-filled & high spirited paddle board adventure on our specially designed giant multi-person Mantaray paddle boards. This exhilarating event requires teamwork, coordination, and communication, as each team paddles together to navigate the course. Not only will the kids have a blast paddling together across the water, but they’ll also build valuable skills in cooperation and teamwork, making the Mantaray experience the ultimate highlight of our kids paddle board program.
Important Things to know:
- Join us every week and develop your skills on the water!
- Parents may join the fun and paddle along for an extra $30. All equipment will be provided. Only for parents of children attending the class.
- For parents that have their own equipment and would like to join the class the cost is $30.
- Parents that are not joining the lesson MUST wait on the beach during the lesson. You are not permitted to drop you child off and leave, or go out on the water for your own activity while your child is in the class. We must be able to find you if necessary. No exceptions.
- Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and snacks.
- The class will be split into 2 or more groups depending on the experience of the padders attending. Beginners will learn the basics on how to paddle along the shoreline and more experienced paddlers will paddle across to Big Boulder Island as a group with our guides leading the way.
